Incident Command System Courses
ICS courses are required for members that hold particular offices
and qualifications. The Auxiliary offers all of these courses
in the classroom, but four of the five offered courses (ICS-100,
ICS-200, NIMS-700, and NRP-800) can be independently studied by
going to the
National Incident Management System (NIMS) Website.
ICS-210, which must be taken by all coxswains and crew members by
31MAR10, is a classroom only course and is not available for
independent study.
Fifth District Leadership Academy, Saturday 21
November
The Fifth District Leadership Academy will
convene at TRACEN Yorktown on Saturday, the 21st of November. Leadership
courses offered are designed for each level of the Auxiliary, from Flotilla
Staff Officer (FSO) to Division Commander and Vice Division Commander, including
District Staff Officers. These courses are excellent leadership training
for those interested or currently assigned to these elected and appointed
positions!
